St Lucia Golf Tournament      

Gillian Hasler celebrated her birthday in style when she joined forces with Linda Ridout to win the Twoball Betterball at Rockley on Saturday and both can now look forward to a trip to St. Lucia, two nights at the Village Inn and two rounds of golf at the St Lucia Golf Course on Cap Estate. Husband Mark Hasler was noticeably well off the pace, although he did win the Nearest-to-the-Hole at the 2nd/11th.
Gillian and Linda won on countback from Sean Mesick and Brian Woods who also shot a net 62 and just one shot behind came Rolf Phillips and Dr. Bob Gaskin. Bob and Rolf edged out Neville Brewster and Ignius Smart, while Damian Wilfred won the other Nearest-to-the-Hole prize at the 6th/15th.
There was a good turnout of visitors for the competition and Club Captain Clarence Hiles thanked secretary Neville Brewster for organizing the prizes and Charlie Heath for being one of the sponsors. He also primed the members on the forthcoming First Caribbean Open on Saturday 7th August which is one of the top competitions on the club calendar, and is followed by a barbeque and live music in the clubhouse.
